Using MailHop Outbound with Outlook Express
This document describes how to configure Outlook Express to work with MailHopSM Outbound.
Outlook Express expects to speak the out-dated SMTPS protocol when you specify a non-25 port and enable SSL. You can use one of our available SMTPS ports, port 465 or port 10465, to work around this behavior.
Select "Accounts..." from the tools menu.
Under the "Mail" tab, choose your default mail account and click on
"Properties".
Under the servers tab, change "Outgoing mail (SMTP)" to
"outbound.mailhop.org". Click the check box for "My server requires
authentication" and then click on the "Settings..." button.
Choose "Log on using" and enter your DynDNS.org username and password.
New outgoing mail will now use MailHopSM Outbound.
