Before upgrading, please note that any configuration from your old update client will not be transferred over to the DynDNS Updater version 4.0. Make sure you backup or save any of your previous hostname settings before upgrading.
- Remove all Dynamic DNS update clients from your computer.
- Download the new DynDNS Updater v4.0.
- Follow the installation guide from our Knowledge Base.
The DynDNS Updater version 4.0 is now officially supported and maintained by DynDNS. This new version has many advantages over the older software, making it easier for DynDNS.com users to keep their hostnames up-to-date.
