Spring Server VPS How-to

Creating your Spring Server℠ VPS instance from start to finish

Select a Spring Server VPS Package

Before you can purchase a Spring Server VPS Hosting Service, you will need to create an account, or, if you already have an account, login to that account.

To begin the process, click on "Add Spring Server". On the Add Spring Server page, you will need to enter a hostname for your Spring Server instance. This hostname will be the default hostname given to your Spring Server VPS in DNS. The next step is to select the hardware package you need. Use the radio buttons to select the hardware package you want. Finally, select the operating system you wish to use. We'll build your Spring Server with that operating system automatically installed. If you don't know what to select here, choose "Debian GNU/Linux." Finally, click "Create Spring Server" to add the service to your shopping cart.

If you need multiple Spring Server instances, simply repeat the process above to add more instances to your shopping cart. Another note: We provide Custom DNS for free for domain names used for your Spring Server. That means if you buy a Spring Server VPS for "server.foo.com," you'll receive Custom DNS for free for "foo.com." This offer only applies if you purchase Custom DNS at the same time, so if needed, Add Custom DNS Now. If you already have Custom DNS for a domain, we'll extend your Custom DNS service forward for no charge, for as long as you have a Spring Server instance for that domain.

Checkout

The next step is to checkout with our billing system. Navigate to our checkout page to begin the checkout process. Ensure you get your free Custom DNS service, if applicable, and verify your order. Enter your billing details and we'll start provisioning your new instance(s).

Await Build E-mail

It will take about 5 to 10 minutes to build your new Spring Server instance. You can check the status of your build on the Spring Server VPS page. When the build is complete, our system will e-mail you with your new IPv4 address, IPv6 address, and root password. You now have all the information you need to start using your Spring Server VPS.

Log in and Get Started

That's it - you now have a live server with full access. Now its time to start setting up your own applications, web servers, blogs, VPNs, galleries, or whatever you want - the choice is yours!
