WORCESTER, MA Dynamic DNS Network Services, LLC (DynDNS.org) is today proud to announce the full release of MailHopSM, a new line of e-mail services designed to complement its existing line of DNS and web redirection services. After just over a week of public beta testing, and extensive internal beta testing, it has been determined that these services are ready for prime time.
The launch of these new services is very exciting for all of us, said Tim Wilde, President & CEO of DynDNS.org, at the launch celebration. Our customers have been waiting a long time for a range of mail services with the same quality of service and support they've come to expect from DynDNS.org, and were confident theyll be pleased with what they see here.
"We've seen a great need for this type of services among our customers, as more and more ISPs are blocking their customers' incoming e-mail. Our MailHopSM Relay service can help our customers get around that block," explained Christian Smith, Director of Customer Service.
The MailHopSM line of services consists of three services, ranging from the simple Backup MX service, which provides an extra mail server to store and forward your mail in case your mail server is down, to the Relay service, allowing mail to be sent through our servers to a non-standard port on a mail server run by a customer, to the flexible and powerful Forwarding service, allowing customers to create unlimited mappings between e-mail addresses on their domain name and existing external e-mail addresses, provided through an ISP or other means.
By leveraging existing open source technologies, such as the Exim SMTP server, and our Apache- and Perl-based Web infrastructure, we were able to bring these services to market far more quickly than if we had developed everything from scratch, explained Tom Daly, DynDNS.org CIO and one of the lead developers on this project.
