Issue 23: DynDNS Community Forum Launch

February 23, 2008

By providing DNS, a DDNS update system, email processing, and some other things, we are often in the middle of a technology soup. While we would rather not support third-party products/services, we sometimes do. Why? The manufactures or developers may not provide support, they outsource their support to series of under-equipped or scripted screens, or just otherwise not care about their users. Being part of the middle is useless unless the end points work. It's unfair but it is an interesting challenge.

Since the same stuff remains broken and that there are a ton of workarounds and tricks to know, we have thought about how to memorialize our experiences and knowledge. How do we create a place where those topics can be expanded upon?

With that in mind, we are trying an experiment. We have started our own DynDNS Community Discussion Forum. Since launched a little earlier this month, we're ready to see it expanded to a larger audience. We have added categories along our different services and hope it will become an increasingly valuable resource. What going on?

Let us know what you think and be sure to post! Visit the DynDNS Community Forum...
