Issue 20: Windows Update Client Beta

January 18, 2008

Happy New Year to everyone!

First up for 2008 is a new Windows Update client, much like our revamped OS X update client we launched earlier last year. We have wanted to tweak our Windows Update Client to make it more simple and easier to use.

Before we make the client generally available for a public beta, we would like to open up some testing and feedback to a smaller audience. We are looking for a few hundred users to do some testing for us, let us know their feedback, and give our work a first pass.

We are looking for users on Windows 98 – Vista. We would like users directly connected, users behind NATs, users on mobile laptops, and users with odd network settings. We want to hear your feedback: what you like and what you do not like. While we cannot promise that we will please everyone, we do want to hear your general feedback.

If you are interest to be considered for an invite, please sign-up for the beta.
