To have a router product be tested for certification, a product sample should be sent to our corporate offices, along with the appropriate form. Our labs will acknowledge receipt of delivery and begin testing. This process takes approximately two weeks.
The test procedure is designed to simulate the types of situations that DynDNS clients are likely to encounter in the field in order to ensure that your client will behave well in the most unusual of conditions. The test procedure also seeks to verify that your client's implementation conforms exactly to our published specifications to avoid future changes on our side causing problems for your product.
If your product passes the test, you will be sent the logo for the appropriate certification, and your product will be added to our list of certified products. If we noticed any minor problems with your client, we will send you a report that makes suggestions on how to resolve these issues.
If your product does not pass the test, our technicians will send your engineers a detailed report explaining where the problem was and giving suggestions on how to correct the problem. Your engineers can then send our technicians updated firmware that fixes the problem.
